Our story
One name, three parts
Nuowo was born where two cultures meet. Our name joins three things:
六 — Liù
Chinese for “six” — the character that forms the body of our logo. In Chinese culture, six stands for things going smoothly. 六六大顺: “may everything flow as it should.”
Nova
Latin for “new star”. In the logo, the dot of 六 becomes a four-pointed star. Every new product and every new partnership is, for us, a new beginning.
玉 — Jade
In China, the stone of trust. Since Confucius, jade has been the measure of virtue: honesty, patience, keeping one's word. You see its colour on this site; you will find its measure in our work.
The name itself comes from Nüwa, the goddess who mended the sky — who joined the broken pieces back together. That is what we do every day: we join the right factory with the right brand, and China with the world.
From Yiwu, to the world.
